When we were in Chattanooga, we passed by a dog-friendly pub. On a Sunday evening, it was a popular place, with dozens of dogs roaming about while their owners socialized and ate. As we walked by, Littlest Buddy made his dog sound. His “woof woof” sounds incredibly authentic.
While I won’t pretend to be an expert in the inner workings of the canine brain, this did look like a fun place for a dog to play. It was a warm day, and there were plenty of tunnels and other toys scattered around, as well as some water play stations.
Have you ever seen a dog-friendly restaurant? Have you been to one?

Never even knew there was such a thing, but it looks like a great place to interact with new people.

I think I’ll pass. I have no desire to eat at a dog park.

Dozens of dogs roaming about while their owners are distracted? Even the most docile dog can have a change of personality in a pack situation like that, with dogs they’ve never met. I can only imagine the waivers places like this make you sign, or the insurance they have to carry. They closed a dog park in my area because there were too many dog fights and bites.

This isn’t sounding like the dog friendly restaurants in Gatlinburg. This is sounding like a dog park. Here is what the dog friendly restaurants are like in Gatlinburg. Some restaurants allow dogs on the outdoor seating patio but the owners have to keep their dogs beside them at their table on a leash and keep control of them. The dogs don’t just roam free.
