On Sunday, I posted photos from my brother-in-law’s rehearsal dinner and wedding ceremony. You asked for more snapshots, so here are some from the reception immediately following the ceremony. The cake was made by Mr. Handsome’s cousin. She is in her early 20s and is a professional baker. Her cake is out of this world. I asked if she wanted to share the recipe, but she said she wants to keep it a secret. Boy would it be wonderful to have though! (The cupcakes I posted to my Facebook page were also made by her.)
I took these pictures before guests arrived because I knew you all would want to see photos of the tables. My sister-in-law did a wonderful job.
Just under 200 guests attended the wedding.
Mr. Handsome is the oldest in a family of seven kids, and he was the best man. His speech was top notch. The perfect balance between funny and sentimental.

Thank you! We sure do enjoy having her in our family–but not just because she's a good baker; she's also a very sweet lady.

Wow that is one of tallest wedding cakes I've ever seen! Lovely job.

I know, isn't it huge? There was only a small amount left over…probably because it was so tasty. (I ate two pieces, but don't tell anyone. Lol.)

Isn't it unique? I'm pretty sure it was made out of paper. The bride and her sisters made smaller paper star ornaments for every guest to take home.

The cake looks great! It is a huge cake for 200 guests, though. They will have a lot of leftovers to eat!!! Hahaha!

They can give them to me!

Haha. I know we had some leftovers, but the cake was so good that people had seconds and thirds, so we didn't have a ton. Lol. I'm not sure what happened to the extras though…bummer.

What is the story behind the lips on the wall?
[email protected]
Lol, I'm glad you asked. It's actually a cutout that Mr. Handsome made for the speech. When his brother was little, he didn't like to smile for pictures, so the family made him a big smiley face (similar to the one Mr. Handsome made) for him to hold up. They jokingly told people he was a government agent and wasn't allowed to smile.
