We filmed this video last year, but I was just looking through my “Post to Blog” folder and realized that I never ended up sharing it with you all. The video is in response to a question about homeschooling. While it’s a year old, we would say the same things today, except for the comment about having no idea how to parent. Little Buddy was an infant last summer, and we had not yet entered the parenting stage, but we are in it now and are pleased to report that it’s going well.

Interesting video, thank you for sharing. However, I noticed that didn’t answer all the questions.

My ad blocker apparently blocks all videos on this site, too. Not turning off my ad blocker, so just be aware that when you post stuff like that, not all readers will see it.

Do you think you would ever let your kids attend public school if they wanted to?

So each did the other experience to complete their experience. But delving into things you have little experience with isn’t something to speak about. And that’s all folks!

Wow, did ya really have to post all that? Really? That’s all I have to say.

I think you will enjoy homeschooling Ellie. Though he is still a little young, you can still “teach” him things. For example if you are putting on him a blue sweater, you would tell him “Let’s put on your blue sweater”. Since you just painted your bathroom blue you would point to the wall and say to him “Look at the pretty blue wall”. Or if you are giving him Cheerios you could count out how many Cheerios. It’s just little teachable moments that my husband and I learned when we were having our first child. And never underestimate the power of reading to him and pointing to the pictures and saying what they are. And these ideas are good no matter what your plans are for his education.
