Until this summer, Mr. Handsome had been painting solely with oils for almost three years before starting to use acrylics. Initially, he called it “experimenting” because he expected to have many failures as he got the hang of it, but he didn’t, and even his first paintings turned out great. (If I had been the painter, the results would have been much different, let me tell you.)
Between landscapes, ships at sea, musical instruments, portraits, cows, Nashville skyline paintings, and custom dog paintings, Mr. Handsome has covered a wide variety of subjects using oils and acrylics. I don’t believe I have shared any of his Nashville skyline paintings, so I thought I would do that. At the art shows we have attended, they have been some of his most popular works. Which is your favorite?
Anna
The last one is my favorite!
Job well done on all of them, Mr Handsome. Praying for a healthy and smooth delivery for both you and your baby. 🙂

For once a post that isn’t about your pregnancy!

What a weird comment. Looking back at Ellie’s past few posts, there’s been a good mix of travel and recipes. And if she WERE doing a lot of posts about her pregnancy, that would be really normal – it’s an exciting time! Also, it’s her blog – surely she can write about anything she likes?
Kathy
For real? I can’t believe you said that

I’m sorry but that’s an absolutely rude thing to say! If you don’t like reading about Ellie’s pregnancy there are plenty of other blogs in cyberworld to read. I for one, love hear about her pregnancy.
Ellie I’m praying for a safe delivery. Actually, I was hoping you would have the baby on January 1st right at midnight.

I know, I thought the same thing.

…oh…what a relief it must be for you not to have to endure (which you don’t have to btw) the brief and interesting updates Ellie gives about her personal life. Lol! I for one, only come around here lately to hear updates on Ellie’s pregnancy. And I hope she writes more! And postpartum updates. And baby updates. Ellie shares her adventures, and this is a huge one! I truly enjoy being privy to it. But to reach their own I guess 🙂 Btw Ellie, Mr. Handsome’s artwork is great, third one is my favorite!
Katerra
I for one LOVE to hear about her pregnancy and how it is going! Keep the updates coming Ms Ellie 🙂

That is so rude it say to Ellie. She can talk about her pregnancy if she wasn’t to. Everyone on her loves hearing about pregnancy.
Diana
Don’t read if you don’t like. Actually, of the past 10 blog posts, only 3 were about Ellie’s pregnancy. 🙂
Blogs focus on what the blog writer wants. Sort of a no brainer. People read them or don’t. Criticizing what, for Ellie, is a HUGE event in her life and her life is the point of her blog, is plain rude and selfish. Perhaps make a New Year’s resolution to keep your thoughts to yourself if they are disparaging or lacking in common sense.

I, for one, like it when the pregnancy/baby takes the center stage all of the time.
Sonya
In the last 10 posts 3 were pregnancy related. That‘s really not that much.
Also: That’s her blog. Her blog, her party- she can post, whatever she wants.

I like the first and the third and the second.

I love skyline paintings/photographs! Love the blue in the second one!

Praying for your son😀

Well done! I’d probably choose the one that’s black around with purple sky and colored skyscrapers or the last one. But all of them are really creative!
Candi
But after I looked at the very first one at the top of your post a little closer I’d probably choose that one over the others! I love to see the city after dark with the skyscrapers lit up with all their lights (even the reflection in the water!) and this one represents it the best. Loved the sharp crisp look to it. (Not so muted) You’re quite the artist already, Mr H!

I have enjoyed all of your posts about the pregnancy! Saying prayers for you- last few weeks are tough but so worth it.

The one above the article is my favorite, followed by the last one. And I for one am interested in hearing about your pregnancy and baby. What an exciting time for you! 😊

I like the first one, right under where you asked which is our favorite, but wish the skies were more sunny and cheery😊

At 11:44 speak for yourself. I’ve had two babies, but that doesn’t mean I want to hear about pregnancies.

At 2:10pm you are rude to say that to 11:44Pm.
If you don’t like it then get off of Ellie blog.
Stephanie
Hope you’re feeling great!
Ashley
Beautiful! I live just outside of Nashville so this is fun to see! I love the firs one. How are you feeling? Getting closer and closer to baby time!
Marilyn
They are all so lovely. Mr. Handsome is very talented. We cannot choose a favorite, we like them all. Thank You for sharing.

It’s hard to choose just one painting. They all are pretty amazing. But I think the first one is my favorite. If I could ask God for any one talent, I would choose artistic. I would love to be able to express myself, and how I see the world, through art. But alas, a stick figure is hard for me. My lack of artistic talent does give me a genuine appreciation of artists. I have a question for your artist-husband, Elli. When an artist paints a picture for a show, does he/she solely do it for themselves, or do artists create a painting keeping in mind what potential buyers might like. Just curious. Keep creating and sharing your gift!!!

Re: Anonymous 9:58 how very rude …
Please show us more posts about your baby after he’s born and all the things related ……….
I’m sure if people don’t want to read about your child ,they can just scroll down or move on,, as for most of us we really enjoyed reading about your pregnancy and are wishing you well ……
K.W.
I like the first one 🙂
Hoping to hear soon that baby has come. I know waiting can be long in the end (my longest wait was 13 days over), the best bit of advice I was given was “enjoy your sleep while you can!” Hope all goes well for you and your family. Thanks for sharing!

It’s all part of being a wife. The wife life! Thank- you for sharing all your stories. All of it is very interesting!

Maybe the poster people said was being rude has issues from their own life with all of the attention going to a baby. But a mothers job is to nurture the baby. If she did not focus on that people would say she was being a bad mother. Its very difficult to please everyone who has a comment for what ever reason. A mother has to develop an internal sense of what she is doing and not just be responding to others comments, compliments, criticisms, advice. Like Eve the mom has to learn listen to and follow the truth, or she could find herself led astray of it. The man too.

Beautiful, Thanks for sharing!

These are dark but I agree with comment I read somewhere in the comments here, that these designs would be suited to t shirts. Picture a black or a brown even a white cotton t shirt with these on there. I can see that being something that people would wear.
