This weekend, Mr. handsome heard Christmas music playing at a store and informed me that it’s too early for holiday tunes because it’s still fall. While that might officially be true, the temperature dropped from 70s to 40s last Friday, and most of the leaves have fallen, so in my book, it’s winter.
That being said, I did want to share some photos from our trip to a pumpkin farm before the weather changed. There are a handful of pumpkin farms in the Nashville area, but we were excited to find one that had a huge corn maze with checkpoints (called the Nashville Fall Festival), so we made the trip out there.
We enjoyed the picturesque sunflower field and a hayride with Mr. Handsome’s family, followed by lattes (pumpkin spice for some and plain for the rest of us).
Unfortunately it started raining as we started the corn maze, so we set the kids up indoors with Grandma and Grandpa and ran through the maze before the downpour began.
In your opinion, when does fall end? Have you ever gone though a multi-checkpoint corn maze?
Fall ends on the winter solstice in December. Always has, always will.
No, I’ve never felt the need to wander disoriented through dead corn stalks. It’s bad enough trying to find my way through Wal-Mart, where I noticed yesterday that the item I was looking for was on aisle J-15 according to their website, but the J section ends at aisle 14. Of course there was no associate around anywhere to help, and I never found the item. You get the price you pay when you visit the Wal-Mart maze.
What is fall? LOL! The ac runs a few days, then it’s the heaters turn. Looks like ya’ll had a good time, minus the rain.
Haha yes, we had to run our ac last week because it was 75 in the house. And now we’re having lows or 25.
Fall is supposed to end in December but but Ellie our temps here are so cold like winter! We had snow a couple of weeks ago.Our overnight tonight will be 16°. However I know some of your readers live where it is even colder. I did a multi-checkpoint corn maze many years ago when my daughters were little. It was so much fun.

I plan on cooking. My oldest daughter won’t be able to make it from California but Lord willing she will make it for Christmas.

I don’t want to hear Christmas music til the day after Thanksgiving. Even though we get cold days and even snow flurries in the fall….Fall ends December 20. I have seen it warm on Christmas and kids were out riding their new bicycles.
People in our neighborhood have Christmas lights on already! It’s waaaaay too early for that. I also dread it when the radio stations go all Christmas music too early. Just so tired of hearing it after all these years. Countless hours of having to listen to Grandma getting run over by a reindeer, Alvin the chipmunk wanting a hula hoop, and that endless 12-day improbable gift list full of dancers and leapers and protected species birds all make me want to pa-rum pa pum pum that little drummer boy on the head with one of his own drumsticks! Humbug!! LOL

I have been watching Hallmark Christmas movies too, really enjoying them! I have been singing Christmas songs to my self, Lol.
Fall is over for me the day after Thanksgiving. No wonder the winter feels so long to me!
