If time travel were possible, I have always thought it would be fun to go back in time and meet Mr. Handsome as a child. By the stories I have heard and the pictures I have seen, he sounds like he was a really neat little guy.
As the oldest of seven, his parents and grandparents have always talked about what a great leader he has been to his younger siblings and cousins. And as you can probably guess, they have quite a few stories about entertaining things he said and did. Watch the video below to hear one such story, which involves a nice outfit and some mud.

Based on my experiences with my kids, if you really want to know what he was like, you’ll find out when you have kids! My kids have picked up a lot of quirks from both of us, but the dad ones in particular have been very easy to pinpoint as they’ve come out as they’ve grown!

That’s very true, Amy! I’m looking forward to having some mini Mr. Handsomes running around. They’ll keep us laughing, I’m sure. Also hoping they look just like him. As an infant, his niece looked just like he did as a newborn, which was fun to see.

Ellie, What would you do if your husband came home covered in mud? Mr.Handsome looks like a cute little boy.
Ellie
Haha, it’s funny you ask that because he did come home covered in mud last spring. LOL https://anashvillewife.com/stuck-in-mud/

Definition of a learning experience:
That thing you just did, don’t do that.

We went to a beautiful wedding at a farm when my daughter was 4. There were lots of kids there, and they were running in a pack. When I realized that I hadn’t seen her in a bit too long, I went searching. What I found was my sweet angel child and her young accomplice sitting in a mud puddle that was up to their necks. They had taken their fancy clothes off and left them at enough of a distance from the puddle that their clothes were still dry, at least. They were too filthy to take them in the house for a shower, and had to be hosed down.
When I think about it now it’s funny, but I wasn’t laughing then…

That’s a great story to look back on, but I can imagine why it wouldn’t be funny at the time. At least they didn’t wear their nice clothes in the mud. What does your daughter think of the story now that she’s older?
Amanda
She’s an adult now, and usually just laughs at the stories I tell of her early childhood. I wish I had pictures from that day.
