It was still light outside when our friends’ wedding near Denver wrapped up, so we headed over to Red Rocks Amphitheater to stroll around. The park was just about to close, and there were very few people still there. We weren’t able to hike any of the trails, but we walked into the amphitheater and looked out over the seats. It was an amazing view!
Have any of you ever seen a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater? I have heard that the sound quality is unbeatable.

It is absolutely amazing!! The trails are neat too. We saw the band Third Day play their final concert there in 2018.

I loved Third Day!

Posts like this are the exact reason why I asked my dentist if he’s been traveling before scheduling my appointment. Thankfully, he hasn’t been.

It’s not just your dentist, it’s his/her spouse, kids, kids’ friends, staff spouses, staff kids….. You don’t have to travel to become infectious either. One slip, one letting your guard down, one thinking it’s OK to be anywhere or around anyone, and it’s trouble for everyone. Haven’t we learned anything yet this year? By the looks of the case numbers and the curve, no.

The comments make me think Trump is being the best leader he can be to demonstrate to citizens of the world there are jobs to do.
He takes care of his be own health well enough to be able to get over the virus and get back to work. Isn’t that what the Catholic Church says to do? They say just get better and go back to doing your job! That is how the whole world would not be beaten down.

When you travel you are bring the virus it in other states. CDC said. CDC said not to travel over Thanksgiving you are suppose to have family or friends over either. Turkeys are going to be smaller enough for. 3-4 people in your family . That also said no be parties.. And don’t go to the store the day after Thanksgiving or the Monday after because will be þhe busy and you get covid

I have no plans to travel til 2022! I don’t want to think about the spike in cases there will be after Thanksgiving and Christmas travel. Why can’t people be patient, stay home, and stop spreading this? By “stay home” I mean exactly that, not stay home but still go to parties and bars and restaurants in person. This will never end if we keep behaving like nothing’s going to happen.

Thank you 4:45! I completely agree with you.

Wow! You live in A LOT of fear. There is no reason to be that overboard with this all.
Anonymous
No, we don’t live in fear. We don’t want to get sick or risk infecting others. Some of us care about people and things other than ourselves and vacations.

“No reason” – how about the 20,000 cases in my county and growing daily?! Or the 8 million cases in the country and the 220,000 dead? That means nothing?

Doing everything you can to avoid getting the virus is not living in fear. It’s living in the knowledge that you are being as careful as possible and hopefully won’t have to suffer or see a loved one suffering, or worse. It’s living in the peace and comfort of your own home, knowing you’re keeping it free from illness. It’s knowing that your health is being protected but your family and friend connections are still strong through e-mails, phone calls, cards, letters, and video chats. It’s knowing you’re mature enough to have the patience to wait until things have improved. It’s having the strength to cope with this, not cave in, not throw your hands up, and not say you’re done with it and you’re going back to doing whatever you please. It’s not fear at all!

We walked around the red rocks amphitheater also last October when we were in the area. Also garden of the gods. It had snowed and was snowing when we got there so we saw it in a completely different way than y’all did! But it was very pretty with the snow in amongst all those red rocks. We actually got back to Colorado the first week of this September to celebrate our anniversary! We drove through the National park and made a loop through the mountains in the middle of Colorado there. Can’t wait to go back someday!
Ellie
That sounds lovely, Candi! Were the mountains crowded?
Candi
No! It was lovely to go that time of year! Some of the places to see we had almost to ourselves! Like the maroon bells. We went after hours and there was just a few of us walking around out there. More came as the sun set with their wine, picnic baskets, etc. The light playing on the mtns there at the bells as the sun was setting is something we’ll never forget. Another place to hike to is Dream Lake in the National park, literally was my dream to get there someday and we finally did! Another place we highly recommend to go to is Crested Butte. Everything there is gorgeous. The ski lift there has to be the highest in CO. It’s open air and the neatest thing. It takes you to almost 12,000 feet. Go when the wildflowers are blooming like July or June. I think it’s the wildflower capital of CO or the US. There is a neat drive on a dirt road out of the ski area there and it goes back into the mtns and you come across a old old ghost town way back in there with a lot of the old buildings still standing, old cabins etc. I could keep going on and on about CO!!!!! Yes, you’ll want to go back someday!
Ellie
That all sounds amazing! Did you rent a car with 4WD for the dirt road?
Anonymous
Yes, we had a little 4WD suv we rented but the dirt roads were ok. You could’ve drove them with a reg car.
