Mr. Handsome scored big points as a husband this holiday season. Not only did he finish my honey-do list, but he took me on two dates. You may remember my post about our first one. For our second date, my sister-in-law watched our kids, and we went over to the Gaylord Opryland Resort to marvel at the beautiful indoor lights.
Walking through Opryland is one of our Christmas traditions, and I don’t think we have missed a year since we’ve been married. The amount of holiday activities that the hotel offers keeps growing each year, as does the number of days when you can’t even enter the hotel without a ticket to one of the attractions. The hotel states that it welcomes day guests to enjoy the lights at no cost, but the block-out times increase every year. Local Nashvillians are well aware of this, and it is a topic of discussion among many of our friends.
Since ice tubing and skating aren’t friendly for pregnant women, we bought a ticket to the gingerbread decorating corner. We ate dinner at the burger restaurant and walked around. The hotel was filled with people, but we had a wonderful time.
